We are pleased you decided to join NAPO-CT and become a Productivity/Organizing Professional. Here is information you may find helpful.
Chapter Meetings
NAPO-CT holds monthly meetings on the third Friday of every month. Meetings are hybrid, meaning they are held in person and via Zoom. The choice is yours.
The meeting location and Zoom access link will be announced via newsletter and meeting reminders. (No meetings in July, August, and December. Because we truly enjoy spending time with each other, we usually hold a Holiday Social in December, a Summer Social in July or August, and a Summer Organizing Event where all members can participate and showcase their talents. The goal of our chapter meetings is education and networking. We have a topic for each meeting that benefits the Productivity and Organizing Professionals. There is always something to learn.
Topics include:
- How to run your business
- How to work with clients
- How to utilize social media and other marketing strategies
- Helpful organizing tools and resources
- And so much more…
Our Business Partners attend meetings regularly to share the benefits of their products and services. We love the collaboration they bring to the table that benefits all.
Please RSVP for each meeting beforehand so that we can set up the room appropriately and order morning coffee/tea for everyone. You can use the RSVP form on the website or log into your account and the form is already filled in for you.
Annual Membership
The annual membership renewal is during the month of October. Dues are payable via a Quickbooks invoice emailed by NAPO-CT Treasurer and must be paid before the end of the month in order to avoid a $25 reinstatement fee. Remember, National membership is a requirement to remain a chapter member. Business Partners are not required to be National members.
The annual fee for NAPO-CT membership is $100 (Due to Covid effects on many Professional Organizer’s businesses the NAPO-CT Board approved a 20% reduction in the annual fee.) Business Partner’s annual membership fee is now $200.
NERCPO
NAPO-CT hosted eight one-day conferences (NERCPO — Northeast Regional Conference for Productivity and Organizing Professionals) providing education and networking with colleagues and vendors from around the northeast (Maine to Pennsylvania and beyond). It included breakfast, lunch, beverages and snacks, a vendor expo, speakers, games, raffles, and a lot of goodies provided by vendors and sponsors.
In 2023, NAPO-CT and the NERCPO Committee announced that it was time for a break. We do not know what the future holds, but we do know that NERCPO was a success because of all the attendees near and far. Thank you!
Annual NAPO Conference
NAPO National holds an annual conference (now called Summit) usually in April. The location of the national conference varies across the country from year to year. NAPO National also sponsored NAPO University which offers live webinars, podcasts, and on-demand courses. There is a certification process members can undergo to become a Certified Professional Organizer or work towards several specialty certificates. Information can be found on NAPO.net
